Frequently Asked Questions
Will Lissa work on my hair?
Lissa is designed for dry hair of most types and textures, with three heat settings so you can start gently and adjust. It is a compact tool intended for smoothing a fringe, the hairline and the lengths around your face. If you are looking to straighten long or very thick hair from end to end in one session, a full-size straightener remains the better tool.
Which heat setting should I use?
Lissa takes about a minute to reach temperature. Start at 160Β°C if your hair is fine, fragile or colour-treated. 180Β°C suits most hair. 200Β°C is for coarser or more resistant sections. Begin at the lowest comfortable setting and increase only if you need to, and avoid repeated passes over the same section on the highest setting.
Can I use it on damp hair?
No. Lissa is for dry hair only. It should not be used in or near a shower, bath or basin, or with wet hands.
How long does the battery last, and how do I charge it?
A full charge provides up to 50 minutes of styling, measured by the manufacturer under laboratory conditions, and takes around 1.5 hours. Charge Lissa using the included USB-C cable with a compatible 5V/2A adapter, laptop port or power bank. A USB power adapter is not included. Lissa wonβt switch on while charging, so unplug it before use.
Does it switch itself off?
Yes. Lissa switches off automatically ten minutes after it is turned on. If you need longer, simply switch it back on.
Can I take it on a plane?
Lissa contains a built-in lithium battery, so like a phone or power bank it should travel in your carry-on rather than checked luggage. Please check your airline's current requirements before you fly.
Is there a smell when I first use it?
A faint warm or burnt scent during the first few uses is normal for a new heated styling tool and fades with use. If it persists or is strong, stop using the device and contact us.
